Emeritus Faculty member and former Director, Dean, and Director of Exhibitions of the San Francisco Art Institute (1950s-2016) joins Head Librarian Jeff Gunderson in a conversation on SFAI’s exhibition history and the Art Bank, an organization which promoted West-Coast art by arranging travelling shows and exposing artists to critics, museum directors, and collectors.
This event is part of Remnants: A Ghosts of the Tower Salon Series. In conjunction with the Ghosts of the Tower exhibition, a salon series, Remnants, will unearth the history and archives of the San Francisco Art Institute. Join us for lively and informal discussions with figures from SFAI’s past and independent researchers who have used the archives’ resources in their scholarship.
