Rhiannon Alpers

Adjunct Faculty

Rhiannon Alpers is book artist and designer, specializing in the mediums of letterpress printing, bookbinding and papermaking under the imprint of Gazelle & Goat Press. Her sculptural artist books are influenced by the untenanted remnants of plant and animal life. Many pieces are entrenched in the visual language and historical sensibility of cabinets of curiosities and the work of Joseph Cornell. Her commercial and production work has included clients such as Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, the San Francisco Ballet, and the Long Now Foundation. In 2015 she received the Minnesota Center for the Book Arts Jurors' Recognition of Merit, and exhibited at the CODEX International Book Fair.
